DANCE VATIKA is an exciting dance workshop for teachers which allows them to learn and discover new and creative ways to learn INDIAN dance and storytelling. The workshops are led by MS.ANAMICA GOEL,who has been into this proffession for past 16yrs.and is well accustomed to the rituals, stories and dances of INDIA.It offers a workshop with arange of INDIAN dance styles,from elegant CLASSICAL DANCES to the most exuberant BOLLYWOOD/WESTERN,bringing to your primary school a day filled with the vibrancy of the subcontinent.
Children build on their natural enthusiasm for movement and develop skills of coordination and teamwork. This workshop is aligned to targets within Key Stages One and Two of the Physical Exercise and Music National Curriculum. Bollywood is one of the hottest dance styles around. Taking dance moves from some of the most spectacular Indian cinema, it is a fusion of western choreography and Indian tradition.
It’s exciting and easy to learn, which makes it particularly good for infant classes, but can be equally enjoyed by older children. Other styles introduced may include the classical Indian dance based on the Kathak style treasured for its intricacy, elegance and charm.
Dance is found in every society in the world and Indian dance is one of the most ancient surviving forms. This workshop encourages children to explore the diverse sounds and dance of a different culture.Many schools book this workshop during Diwali/Before their ANNUAL DAYS.
Experienced and highly qualified dance teacher MS.ANAMICA GOEL offers you a new workshop based on traditional forms of dancing such as KATHAK, WESTERN, INDIAN FOLK etc. In this workshop the children can try out some of the styles.The children will work as a group and try out a variety of steps . They will learn about rhythm and listening to the beat of the music. Its great exercise, great for developing coordination and great fun.

Anamica Goel the founder of KALA VATIKA DANCE STUDIO a resident of C-317,Sushant lok-1 )epitomizes the elegance & sophistication that are the result of blending modern sensibilities with the ancient ethos of Northern India to create the highly lyrical dance of Kathak. Presently self employed in GURGAON as a CHOREOGRAPHER(Awarded by Chief Minister, Delhi Hon.Shiela Dixit) performs and guides students in various dance competitions and concerts in Kathak Nritya, JAZZ, SALSA, HIPHOP, Folk and Creative dance, received accolades and awards at various forums.
Anamica Goel over a long and distinguished career has developed a highly individual style to enrich the Kathak & Contemporary dance form. She completed her Kathak Visharad under the tutelage of the renowned Guru Lachhoo Maharaj ji.
Anamica 's command over the nritta is amendable. Her delicate postures and strong rhythmic footwork combine in an appealing flow of sculpturesque movements. Her subtle abhinaya (the expressional aspect of dance), Stage knowledge and aesthetic sense add to the highly distinctive character of her recitals. Over a professional career spanning Sixteen years, she has proved her mettle with her performances that have been appreciated with national and international awards.
Through teaching, performing and conducting workshops, she has been actively involved in propagating the art of Kathak in Gurgaon and other parts of India. She has trained a number of accomplished students who are performers in their own right. She has worked in D.P.S & Scottish High Intl.School, Gurgaon for 14yrs.as H.O.D (Dance & Drama). During her tenure there she endeavored to bring many prizes and laurels for the schools in various Interschool & International dance Competitions. She has also directed and choreographed prestigious dance dramas like
